I got this as a tablet stand for my Microsoft Go 2, and its been great. Fits right in place, does not interfere with power cords or ports, and it stays in the perfect position even if I'm a little rough when setting the tablet on it.
I really like this sturdy little tablet stand. I can adjust it to any angle I need and it stays there. The little rubber pads are not only protective, but keep my tablet from slipping around on the holder. There are also non-slip dots on the bottom that keeps the holder from sliding around on the table. It holds my tablet either horizontally or vertically. I also like using it for my phone because I can plug it in and the holder has a space for the cord to go through. It takes up very little space and really serves its purpose well. Folds down to take it with you when traveling. Great product!
This is a great drawing tablet stand. The hinges provide enough resistance out of the box to easily set it to the angle you want, but not so little that you change it during use.
I'm not sure how well this would work for large tablets, but for my small tablet (a Wacom Intuos S) it's great. There's even enough room in the bottom clips to put a clipboard behind it for a space to rest your wrist. That said, the clips are silicone, so any significant amount of force will cause the tablet to tilt, and of course possibly tip the stand, but it's nice to have a little bit of space to brace.
I like this tablet holder. It fit my iPad perfectly, and allows me to adjust the angle without any issue. It's well made and should last a long time. I find myself using it in the kitchen whether using it for my phone or my iPad, they both work well with it.
Honestly, I purchased this to create a magnifying face shield for my glass grinder. It measured the perfect size to slide between the feet of the machine and the top portion is the same height as the base, so I will machine small holes near the top and affix a full sheet size magnifier to the base. It's going to be perfect for this project. It will withstand splashing water which is important for my purpose, but would most likely not be a requirement for most people ordering it.
It is aluminum and rubber so it is light weight. You can tell by the shape of the cutouts in the base that both portions of this stand are cut from one 7x7 inch square of metal. I personally appreciate the thoughtfulness of the design that creates little waste.
The rubber is the type that has some grippiness to it. So, if you pick the base up with a tablet on it and tilt it to the side slightly you should not have to worry about your tablet sliding off the side to a disaster. I don't know how they attached the rubber dots, but they are not coming off!
The pivot point is secured with bolts that do not have a head... this is to say that there is no place for a screw driver and no place to attach a rachet or wrench to the outside if you ever needed to tighten the bolts. It is super secure as it is now. If you set it to a particular angle and leave it, it will surely be great forever; however, if you need to open and close it/fold it up and down, will it ever need to be tightened? I don't know, it is the only potential issue I can see anywhere with the item.
This size is compact enough to toss in a book bag or work tote, but is large enough that even with my laptop seated on it it is sturdy.
The current $20 price point feels very reasonable. While that might seem a little expensive for a tablet stand, the quality of the item is in line... it feels "worth it" in my hand and beneath an expensive device! I'm very pleased in every way with this...the only thing that could make it better would be if it had a transparent red, hot pink or cobalt blue finish!
